P3ts (Set 3) Preview
How Pets Work, featuring Black Bunny
by Andrea Jennifer Shubert
Set one was about setting the stage for the iTCG. Set two, “OMG Bosses!” was about the biggest creatures in the game. Today, we begin previews for set three, “P3ts.” In MapleStory iTCG, the pet cards represent your small animal friends that can pack a big punch.

Lets break down today’s preview card and have a look at the new rules for the pets.
Pets are item cards. Pets don’t battle like monsters and characters in the MMO, so they don’t in the iTCG. They are put into play with Equip actions, just like any other item.
Pets are “hungry.” You feed them cards from the top of your deck. All of the pets in P3ts need to be fed each turn. At the start of the turn (before you level up) you are required to take the top card of your deck and put it under a pet you have in play. If you have multiple pets in play, feed each of them in any order you want.
Other notes about feeding your pets.
- When you feed a pet you do it without looking at the card you take from the top of your deck.
- You aren’t “drawing a card” when you do this. So cards like Maple Staff ignore your feeding
- Pets can’t ever have more than three cards under them at a time. If they would get more than that, keep the card where it was.
