The Winner of the Virtual Hallowmere Fan Contest Is Announced!
We want to thank those who joined Mirrorstone and Hallowmere to celebrate Teen Read Week in their libraries. Using resources provided by their libraries, participants created a book trailer depicting their interpretations of the events occurring in In the Serpent’s Coils. Author Tiffany Trent was among the judges!
Now that the contest is over, we have a winner to announce.

Welcome to Mirrorstone
Mirrorstone is dedicated to offering books that turn reluctant readers into lifelong readers. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, fewer than half of all fourth graders read on a daily basis. By the time children enter eighth grade, only 19 percent say they read for fun on a daily basis. We publish fantasy and series fiction for kids, partly because research shows these are the kinds of books that appeal most to children who think they hate to read.
This section of our site gives you the resources to use Mirrorstone books in the classroom and library. Here you will find teaching and discussion guides, classroom activities, and programming ideas. Read reviews of our series or invite a Mirrorstone author to speak at your school, library, or book club. We hope that these resources help you turn the reluctant readers in your life into enthusiastic lifelong readers!
