Sindri Suncatcher
Sindri is a sixteen-year-old male kender who presents himself as a great wizard, though he doesn't have any natural magical abilities. The Suncatcher family descended (supposedly) from a great kender mage reputedly tapped the power of the sun itself (hence the name "Suncatcher"). Sindri's mother claimed to have certain prophetic powers, and she foresaw that her son would one day be a wizard to rival their famous ancestor. Sindri grew up believing that his destiny is to be a wizard, and he is not about to let a little thing like reality stop him.

Sindri shares the same basic traits of all kender: wanderlust, fearlessness, intense curiosity, and the "handling" ability whereby they unconsciously take objects from people. Sindri, however, believes this latter quality to be a result of his "magic": He thinks he conjures these items, though he is unsure precisely how he does it and why he conjures the specific objects he does.

Sindri is three-and-a-half feet tall, with shoulder-length black hair and pointed ears. He doesn't wear his hair in the usual kender fashion, instead letting it flow loose in imitation of what he believes to be a wizard's style. He carries a hoopak, though he thinks of it as his wizard's staff.
