
The Dream Series Championship will feature both Constructed and Booster Draft formats. The event will be played over 2 days, August 18-19, 2007. “Last Chance” qualifier tournaments will be held on Thursday and Friday, August 16-17 at the tournament site (see below for details).

Registration Information
All players invited to play in the Dreamblade Championship must register for the event. Registration will take place at 2 different times:
Friday, August 17 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, August 18 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Registration will take place at the Dreamblade Tournament Stage in Hall G.
Players must have a signed waiver and consent form to compete in the Dream Series Championship. The form can be downloaded and will be available onsite.
Minors (those under 18 years of age) must have a parent or guardian’s signature on these forms. Minors will not be able to register or play unless we receive a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. No exceptions!
Bring these forms with you to registration. We will make forms available for competitors at registration, if necessary.
To register, all participants must present one of the following forms of identification:
- a driver’s license, or
- a passport, or
- a copy of a birth certificate and photo IDs (school IDs are acceptable).
Players not registered by 9:30 AM on August 18 may be denied entry to the Dream Series Championship.
You must have an appropriate GEN CON badge in order to register for the event. There are no exceptions.
Players receiving complementary badges can pick up their badges at GEN CON Registration WILL CALL.
All other players are HIGHLY encouraged to preregister for GEN CON. Information about how to purchase GEN CON badges can be found here.
Tournament Format and Schedule
Format
- Constructed and Booster Draft.
- 1 Baxar’s War™, 1 Chrysotic Plague™, and 1 Anvilborn™ booster packs will be used for drafting.
- Players will be required to register their war bands.

Tournament Length
- Day 1 will consist of 3 rounds of Constructed followed by 6 rounds of Booster Draft.
- The draft portion will consist of 3 drafts each followed by 2 rounds of Swiss.
- Day 2 will consist of 3 rounds of Constructed followed by the Top 8 Single-elimination finals.
- 12 Swiss Rounds total, 50 minutes per round.
- Top 8 will be Constructed.
- Top 8 single-elimination finals have no time limit; however, players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and finish their matches within 50 minutes.
Advancement
- All players may participate in all Swiss rounds.
- After round 12 the top 8 players advance to the top 8 single-elimination finals.
Top 8
- Constructed format.
- Top 8 matches will be single-game matches.
Notes
- REL: Competitive.
- Players are required to use the same Constructed War Band for day 1, day 2, and Top 8.
- All Universal Tournament Rules and Dreamblade Floor Rules are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document.
- Players are responsible for knowing all DCI rules.
- Players are responsible for bringing the following items to the tournament: 1 standard six-sided die, at least 8 Dreamblade Battle Dice, and pen and paper to track Conquest Points.

A DCI member eligible for a Dreamblade prize award from the 2006-2007 season (from either a 1K event, a 10K event, or the Championship) must claim his or her prize award by December 31, 2007, or the prize award is forfeited.
Dreamblade Player Rewards
The Dream Series Championship will have player rewards available as follows:
- The highest rated Dreamblade player as of July 11, 2007 will receive paid airfare and hotel* to GEN CON.
- The top 10 highest rated Dreamblade players as of July 11, 2007 will receive paid airfare* to GEN CON.
- The top 50 highest rated Dreamblade players as of July 11, 2007 will receive a 4-day GEN CON convention pass.
- The top 100 highest rated Dreamblade players as of July 11, 2007 will receive a Dream Series Championship T-shirt.

In addition, all 2006-2007 season 10K champions will receive a 10K winner embroidered polo shirt.

Note: Players must attend and play in the Dream Series Championship in order to receive their rewards. Rewards will not pass down in the event a particular player does not participate in the event.
“Last Chance” Qualifiers
For those that are not qualified for the Dream Series Championship, do not despair! Wizards of the Coast will run 4 tournaments at GEN CON that will offer direct invitations into the Dream Series Championship! Other prizes will also be offered.
Each event will be run in the Constructed format. The number of invitations awarded from each event will be based on the attendance of each event:
