	Kellach Kellach is a wizard's apprentice. At fourteen years old, he fancies himself to be not only a great wizard but a great detective. Kellach may be smart, but he sometimes annoys people with his self-important ways. It's gotten him into more than one fight. Fortunately, he's smart enough to get out of them too -- usually.
	Driskoll Twelve-year-old Driskoll is Kellach's younger brother. He dreams of one day becoming a bard, or maybe a warrior. He's not always eager to jump into Kellach's schemes. But when trouble comes their way, Driskoll never hesitates to fight for what's right. Kellach and Driskoll's father, Torin, is the captain of the watch. Their mother, a wizard named Jourdain, has been missing ever since the Sundering of the Seal five years ago.
	Moyra Moyra is a thirteen-year-old thief. She lives in Broken Town, the poor section of Curston. Moyra often gets caught up in the scams of her father, a small-time criminal who has been in and out of jail her whole life. Moyra's strength and bravery puts the two boys to shame. She can scale buildings and pick her way out of almost any lock, and she has no fear when it comes to bullies like Kruncher.
