Twenty years ago, two authors named Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis planted the seeds of Dragonlance: The New Adventures. Tracy and Margaret envisioned a world where dragons flew the skies, where wizards tapped ancient powers, and where valiant knights fought to prove their honor. They named their world Krynn and peopled it with elves, dwarves, humans, kender, and a host of fantastical creatures.

The first stories set in the world of Krynn are called the Dragonlance Chronicles. They tell the tale of a group of heroes who seek to save the world from the clutches of the Dark Queen Takhisis and her dragonarmies. The books launched Dragonlance, the series, and today more than a hundred books set in the world of Krynn have been published.

Dragonlance: The New Adventures continues in the tradition of these original books by introducing young readers to a group of all-new teen characters and their epic stories of mystery and adventure.

Dragonlance cocreator Margaret Weis hails the first book in the new series, for " . . . captur[ing] the romance, the adventure, and the epic feel of the Dragonlance series. If you're new to this world, this is a great introduction. If you've adventured with us before, you will enjoy continuing your travels."

If you want to learn more about the world of Krynn, check out the Dragonlance Chronicles, beginning with A Rumor of Dragons by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. You can also find more Dragonlance books in the fantasy section of your local bookstore or library.
